MailGoldOnline.com is a nationwide mail-in precious metals purchasing service operated by Solvita Ventures LLC, doing business as We Buy Gold, located in Montgomery, Illinois.

By accessing this website or submitting items for evaluation, you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Agreement”).

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

2. ELIGIBILITY & REPRESENTATIONS

By using our services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.

  • You are the lawful owner of all submitted items.

  • The items are not stolen, counterfeit, encumbered, or subject to any lien.

  • You have full authority to sell the items.

  • All information provided is accurate and complete.

We reserve the right to request government-issued identification and additional verification at our sole discretion.

3. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

MailGoldOnline purchases precious metals including gold, silver, platinum, and palladium in the form of jewelry, coins, bullion, scrap, and related items.

All items are evaluated primarily for precious metal content and intrinsic value unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

We are not:

  • An investment advisor

  • A financial advisor

  • A broker

  • An auction house

All transactions are outright purchases at our discretion.

4. SHIPPING, INSURANCE & RISK OF LOSS

4.1 Company-Provided Shipping Label

Customers may be provided with a prepaid FedEx shipping label. Shipments sent using our label may be eligible for insurance coverage up to $5,000, subject entirely to FedEx’s terms, exclusions, documentation requirements, and approval process.

Insurance coverage is not guaranteed.

MailGoldOnline does not independently insure packages beyond amounts approved and paid by the shipping carrier.

4.2 Documentation Requirements

Customers are strongly encouraged to:

  • Photograph all items before shipment.

  • Record video of the packaging process.

  • Retain shipping receipts and tracking confirmation.

  • Accurately declare contents when requested.

Failure to comply with carrier requirements may result in denial of any insurance claim.

4.3 Risk of Loss

Risk of loss remains with the customer until the package is physically received and signed for at our facility.

MailGoldOnline is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, damaged, delayed, or misdirected prior to confirmed delivery.

4.4 Fraud Prevention

Submission of false information, misrepresentation of contents, or fraudulent insurance claims may result in:

  • Immediate denial of claim

  • Cancellation of transaction

  • Refusal of future service

  • Referral to law enforcement

5. EVALUATION PROCESS

Upon receipt:

  • Packages are opened under controlled conditions.

  • Precious metals may be tested using XRF, acid testing, weighing, magnet testing, or other industry-standard methods.

  • Items may be cleaned, separated, altered, or processed during evaluation.

  • Gemstones are typically not assigned value unless agreed in writing.

  • Watches, designer items, and branded goods may be evaluated primarily for metal content unless otherwise specified.

We reserve the right to reject any item at our sole discretion.

6. OFFER & PRICE DETERMINATION

6.1 Pricing Basis

Offers are based on:

  • Weight

  • Purity

  • Current precious metal market prices

  • Market conditions at time of evaluation

Precious metal prices fluctuate constantly. We are not responsible for price changes occurring before, during, or after shipment.

6.2 Offer Validity

All offers are valid for 24 hours from issuance, and in no event later than the close of business on the next business day following issuance, unless otherwise stated in writing.

If no response is received within the offer period, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Consider the offer accepted, or

  • Return the items to the customer

7. ACCEPTANCE & PAYMENT

Upon acceptance of an offer:

  • Payment will be initiated by the end of the same business day whenever reasonably possible.

  • Actual receipt of funds may take additional business days depending on payment method (e.g., ACH, check processing, banking timelines).

  • We may delay payment for identity verification, fraud review, or regulatory compliance.

We comply with applicable federal and state anti-money laundering laws and reserve the right to request additional documentation before releasing payment.

8. REJECTED OFFERS & RETURNS

If an offer is declined:

  • Items may be returned to the customer.

  • Return shipments may carry limited or no insurance.

  • Insurance limits on return shipments may be lower than original shipment limits.

  • Market fluctuations during return transit are not our responsibility.

Due to testing procedures, items may not be returned in identical condition.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

MailGoldOnline and Solvita Ventures LLC’s total liability shall not exceed the lesser of:

  • (a) The amount approved and paid by the shipping carrier, or

  • (b) The verified fair market value of the precious metal content at time of evaluation.

We are not liable for:

  • Retail, sentimental, or appraised value

  • Consequential or incidental damages

  • Emotional distress claims

  • Lost profits

  • Speculative market losses

10. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MailGoldOnline and Solvita Ventures LLC from any claims arising out of:

  • Submission of stolen or counterfeit property

  • Fraudulent insurance claims

  • Misrepresentation of ownership

  • Violation of applicable laws

11. MARKET VOLATILITY DISCLAIMER

Precious metal prices fluctuate due to global market conditions.

We do not guarantee pricing prior to formal written offer issuance.

All pricing decisions are final upon acceptance.

12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & ARBITRATION

Any dispute arising out of this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Illinois.

You waive the right to:

  • Participate in class actions

  • Participate in class arbitration

  • Bring representative claims

Small claims matters may be filed in the appropriate Illinois jurisdiction.

13. GOVERNING LAW & VENUE

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Venue for any permitted court action shall be in the State of Illinois.

14. MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised Effective Date.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
