This Shipping & Returns Policy explains how shipments, insurance, and returned items are handled when using our mail-in precious metals purchasing service.
1. SHIPPING YOUR ITEMS TO US
1.1 Prepaid Shipping Labels
We may provide customers with a prepaid FedEx shipping label for submitting items.
Shipments sent using our provided label may be eligible for insurance coverage up to $5,000, subject entirely to the carrier’s terms, exclusions, documentation requirements, and claim approval process.
Insurance is not automatically guaranteed.
MailGoldOnline does not independently insure shipments beyond amounts approved and paid by the carrier.
1.2 Customer Shipping Responsibility
If you choose to ship items using your own shipping method:
You assume all risk of loss.
You are responsible for purchasing insurance.
We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages prior to confirmed delivery.
2. DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
To support potential carrier claims, customers are strongly encouraged to:
Photograph all items prior to shipment.
Record video of the packaging process.
Retain shipping receipts and tracking confirmations.
Accurately describe contents if requested.
Failure to provide adequate documentation may result in denial of an insurance claim by the carrier.
3. RISK OF LOSS
Risk of loss remains with the customer until the shipment is physically received and signed for at our facility.

Packages lost in transit
Theft during shipment
Delays by carrier
Damage prior to confirmed delivery
4. PACKAGE INSPECTION & DISCREPANCIES
All packages are opened and inspected upon receipt.
If contents differ materially from what was declared or reasonably expected, we reserve the right to:
Adjust the offer accordingly
Reject the shipment
Report suspected fraud
Submission of intentionally misleading or fraudulent information may result in cancellation of the transaction and referral to authorities.
5. OFFER ACCEPTANCE

Payment will be initiated by the end of the same business day whenever reasonably possible.
Actual receipt of funds may take additional business days depending on payment method.
Upon payment issuance, ownership of items transfers to MailGoldOnline.
6. DECLINED OFFERS & RETURNS
If you decline our offer within the offer validity period:
Items may be returned to you.
Return shipping may be uninsured or carry lower insurance limits.
Insurance limits for return shipments may differ from original shipment limits.
Market fluctuations during return transit are not our responsibility.
We are not responsible for lost or damaged items during return transit beyond any carrier-approved insurance payout.
7. CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS
Due to evaluation and testing procedures:
Items may not be returned in identical condition.
Precious metals may have been tested using industry-standard methods.
Items may have been cleaned, weighed, or separated.
Gemstones and non-precious components are not guaranteed to be returned unless otherwise agreed.
8. UNRESPONSIVE CUSTOMERS
If no response is received within the 24-hour offer period, we may, at our sole discretion:
Consider the offer accepted, or
Return the items
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
MailGoldOnline’s total liability for any shipment, loss, or damage shall not exceed the lesser of:
(a) The amount approved and paid by the shipping carrier, or
(b) The verified fair market value of the precious metal content at time of evaluation.

Market volatility losses
