Bring the whole box: what happens to the pieces that aren't gold
Many jewelry boxes are a mix: a few solid gold pieces, some plated ones, some costume jewelry and maybe something nobody can identify. You don't need to sort any of it before you come.
- Sorting happens together. We pick out the solid gold piece by piece, right there with you.
- Plated and gold-filled pieces come back to you. They look like gold but aren't solid, so we'll point them out and set them aside for you.
- Unmarked pieces get tested. A missing stamp doesn't rule anything out. If there's any doubt, we test it.
- Only the solid gold is priced. Your offer covers just those pieces, grouped by karat, and you pick which ones to sell.
Anything you don't sell, gold or not, leaves with you.
